The following are golf charities that I support:
The First Tee of Atlanta
Through good fortune, I was honored by being named to the Board of Directors of the First Tee of Atlanta. I hope
to be a positive influence on the organization and the children it serves.
The East Lake Foundation
As mentioned below, East Lake is a special course to me. But when you add in all the good the East Lake
Foundation does with its affiliation with The Drew Charter School, East Lake Golf Course, The East Lake
Foundation, and Purpose Built Communities...this is something we all should be supportive of.
The Tufts Archives
One of the first rounds of golf I ever played was at East Lake in Atlanta, GA and I have the amazing opportunity to
play the course a couple of times every month. The connection of the club to Bobby Jones, Alexa Sterling, and
Donald Ross were catalysts for my love affair with every aspect of the game and its history. Due to this
fascination, I visited the The Tufts Archives while visiting Pinehurst. The amount of information and resources
there are incredible. I think institutions like this need to be supported to ensure their long-term viability.
The National Amputee Golf Association
My love affair with golf began because of a medical mis-diagnosis that led to avascular necrosis setting into my
hips, which eventually led to two total hip replacements. Now, I am not an amputee. But knowing how much pain I
was in for years and years and yet still enjoying the outlet that golf gave me, I can only imagine how golf has
impacted amputees. Therefore, I am a fervent supporter of The NAGA.
