The Farm---Rocky Face, GA
Rankings as of 4/20/2011
-12th best golf course in GA (Golf Digest)
The Farm is a very under-appreciated/over-looked golf course. It has all the trimmings to go along with the meat
and potatoes that make up a high quality golf course/club.
The setting is very close to ideal. The club is located in the Northwest corner of Georgia. Technically, it is a
neighborhood golf course BUT the housing density in the area is very low and the quality of the homes is very high
in an under-stated and elegant type of way. In fact, when you play the course houses very rarely come into view.
The maintenance on the course is very, very good. Zyosia fairways, perfectly manicured greens, all wrapped up in
a wonderful mountain setting.
But don’t let the ideal setting and perfect maintenance fool you…this course has teeth. Greens with some
undulation…
Bunkers that will punish you…
And straying off the fairway is not a good idea…
All in all, The Farm is really good and I highly recommend it to anyone. If you like beauty and charm, you got it. If
you are looking to test your game, you got it. If you like the get away from it all feeling, you got it.
The Farm was designed by Tom Fazio in 1988 and it measures 7,012 yards from the tips and is rated 75.1/151.
