Pine Needles is another Donald Ross gem.  It was refurbished by John Fought in the early 2000's and Mr. Fought
surely did a wonderful job.

Given all the hype and press that the world famous Pinehurst #2 gets, Pine Needles might get overlooked by much
of the golfing public.  However, it shouldn't!!  It is a gem in its own right and will not only challenge the golfer, but it
will delight them as well.

Like any Ross course, Pine Needles is pure golf and that is precisely the type of golf experience that I enjoy the
most.  As famous as many of the other courses in the Pinehurst area are, Pine Needles just might have the most
famous par 3 in the area AND Donald Ross' best designed par 3.

The course is owned by the world famous Peggy Kirk Bell.  Mrs. Bell is a major golf champion, former North South
Amateur Champion, 3 time Ohio Amateur Champion, member of the 1950 Curtis Cup, member of the World Golf
Teachers Hall of Fame, and in 1990 she was awarded the Bob Jones Award for her distinguished Sportsmanship.
In short, she is an icon and a legend in the golfing world.

Pine Needles measures 6,436 yards from the blue tees and is rated 70.6/126.
