John A. White Golf Course---Atlanta, GA
This is a 9 hole muni located in the heart of Atlanta. It is the home of The First Tee of Atlanta and provides a
special place for youth development within the City of Atlanta and the golfing world as a whole.
Regarding the course itself, Billy Fuller and Bob Cupp designed the current configuration of the golf course and
they truly excelled in the construction of the green complexes. The routing is very good as well, considering the
lack of land to work with, but it is without a doubt the greens that take the cake at John A. White. They have
tremendous undulations, slopes, and curves. If you find yourself with a boring flat putt here, consider yourself
lucky…and for goodness sakes, DON’T MISS IT, as it will be the only one you’ll get.
The course is very affordable and lacks the over-the-top maintenance and eye candy that many modern U.S.
golfers have become accustom. However, the course will challenge your game in a variety of ways and it is very
enjoyable to play.
